Hey there! This my about me page so there's probably going to be quite a lot of rambling, just letting you know!
First of all, my name is Lena, and I'm a young adult. I have kind of a thing for books, writing, music, and Tumblr.
I grew up (and still live) in Australia. Two hours from the city and surrounded by bush.
I developed a love of Young Adult fiction when I was around eleven, when I found Evernight by Claudia Gray at my new high school orientation day and I borrowed it, reading it at night so my mum wouldn't know... I was worried I'd get it trouble for reading a 'grown up's book'!
After that incident, I found myself delving into the shelves of bookstores and I soon developed a love of words which I had not yet discovered. Ever since I've been devouring books and loving them.
Something else close to my heart, are cats.
For my twelfth birthday I received a gorgeous Ragdoll whom I named Agatha (after Agatha Christie). Over the years she's been given the nickname Aggie - it just suits her a lot better.
Aggie has been my lifeline for a long time. She is sweet and affectionate yet very stubborn and strong willed. She is the best cat I could possibly have asked for. She has been with me through thick and thin, parental breakups, illness and moving houses. She's my best friend and I love her with all my heart ♥
My interests...
I am very passionate about a lot of things. I adore mythology, and anything to do with the ancient world. You'll always find me in the history section of any library or bookstore, finding new fascinating stories to dive into. I also always appreciate any book recommendations about any of my interests, so go ahead!
I spend a lot of my time on Tumblr discussing social justice, feminism, etc and appreciating the wonderful world of mythology. If you're interested, here my blog.
